The addition of powders into viscous liquids often requires high torque, high speed and some degree of mixing shear.

The Greaves Tri-foil impeller or ‘Bowtie’ blade (as its often known) delivers results due its unique high speed blending flow pattern and sheer blade impact intensity therefore mixing high viscosity fluids combined with the dispersion of powders, de-agglomeration of  lumps and uniform positive axial flow, yet without impeller cavitation. Despite the mixing intensity offered, the relative motor power input remains low – especially when only a single motor drive is required.

This machine achieves results usually only possible with high value multi-shaft mixers . Viscosity ranges of 1 (water) to 175,000 (toothpaste) centipoises can be achieved with a single shaft, making this commercially attractive, reliable and flexible. More viscous applications can feature an independent drive Anchor Scraper mixer plus other high shear mixing tools.

Features can also include ATEX to Zone 0 & Zone 20, Full Vacuum  product de-aeration stabilisation, Positive Pressure reactions or discharge and thermally jacketed vessels plus control with HMI PLC automated, integrated measurement and safety systems.
